Therapy for

High-achieving, Sensitive professionals

with problematic parents

Welcome

Growing up with a parent who is an alcoholic, narcissist or otherwise problematic caregiver creates a lot of turmoil both internally and in your outside world. You may feel a pressure to hold everything together for everyone else. Or a sense of isolation, never quite fitting in. You probably have a strong tendency to avoid conflict at all costs and this feeling of walking on eggshells in your relationships that never fully goes away. You want to be free from the massive weight of expectations others place on you but don’t want to be alone.

Hi, I’m Jenna…

I help adult children of alcoholics, narcissists and problematic parents feel deserving of their deepest desires and craft inspired lives.

In our work together, you’ll learn how to quiet your inner critic and develop deep intimacy, transforming your relationship with yourself and others.

I’ll help feel valued and inspired in your career without having to overexert yourself, where an email from your boss doesn’t ruin your whole day.

You’ll feel more seen, heard and understood with your partner(s), intimate inner circle, and most importantly, yourself.

It’s time to experience a renewed sense of creativity, connection, and attunement with your inner and outer worlds.

We might be a great fit if:

  • You’re ready to commit to a longer-term therapeutic process (6+ months) with a  therapist who can walk beside you through life’s various phases and challenges

  • You have a sincere desire to show up, be brave, and look at the hard things

  • You’re introspective, the type of person who will reflect on our session throughout the week and come back with observations or questions

  • You’re curious to explore the depths of grief, trauma, death and dying, the shadow, and other ‘taboo’ subjects

  • You may have an interest in astrology, tarot, plant medicine, or other mystical or nature-based practices

We should not work together if:

  • You’re not able to commit to weekly therapy sessions for at least the next 6 months

  • You’re  hoping your therapist can “just give me the answer” and engage more in problem solving than introspection

  • You notice you have an explosive or highly defensive response to feeling attacked or criticized - you often ‘blow up’ or ‘lose it’ in difficult conversations

  • Your issues with substance misuse and abuse are contributing to your current mental health struggles

  • You engage with the occult, mysticism or other spiritual practices as a form of avoidance or spiritual bypassing

If you’re ready to give up the overwhelming perfectionism and nagging sense of emptiness, I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to feel into whether we could be a good fit.
