Welcome

Even now, years removed from the chaos of your childhood, it lingers.
Not always in obvious ways—sometimes it shows up in how hard it is to say ‘no’. Or how you feel responsible for everyone else’s comfort. In your fear of being “too much,” or your tendency to disappear in conflict.

You may look successful and composed on the outside, but inside, it’s complicated:

  • You long for closeness but struggle to fully trust

  • You crave intimacy, but it often feels overwhelming

  • You’re tired of the perfectionism, the emotional exhaustion, the sense that love must be earned

These are not personality flaws. They’re responses to a childhood shaped by unpredictability, where love may have felt conditional, attention came at a cost, or your needs weren’t safe to express.

Hi, I’m Jenna…

I’m a licensed clinical social worker and therapist for adults who carry the weight of early emotional wounds into their present relationships. I specialize in working with high-achieving, deeply feeling people —often adult children of narcissists, alcoholics, or emotionally immature caregivers— who want more than just coping.

You want to feel known, not just understood. You want relationships that feel reciprocal. You want to stop walking on eggshells… in your life, your love, your own mind.

Therapy with me is both reflective and relational. We’ll make space for the parts of you that had to grow up too fast, the parts that keep bracing for rejection, and the parts longing to soften. We’ll use psychodynamic insight, nervous system awareness, somatic tools, and sometimes symbolic or spiritual inquiry to help you reconnect with your voice, boundaries, and truth.

What Our Work Might Feel Like

Therapy with me isn’t about ‘fixing’ you. It’s about creating a space where your full self can emerge.

We may explore your relationships, boundaries, past pain, and long-held beliefs about worth and safety. Sessions often feel spacious, curious, and emotionally honest.

Some weeks may bring clarity or catharsis. Others might feel quieter, more reflective. All of it is part of the process.

As trust builds, you may find yourself opening to more; not just to grief or memory, but to creativity, imagination, and insight.

This is depth work, but we’ll move at your pace.

In our work, we might explore:

  • Struggles with trust, emotional intimacy, or vulnerability

  • Feeling like you’re “too much” or “not enough” in relationships

  • Guilt or fear when trying to set boundaries

  • A harsh inner critic that won’t let up

  • The impact of being the caretaker, peacekeeper, or “golden child”

  • Lingering grief or anger toward your family of origin

  • The pull toward meaning, depth, or spiritual reconnection

Healing in these areas isn’t just about changing behaviors—it’s about rewiring your sense of safety in connection.

We might be a great fit if:

  • You’re ready to commit to a longer-term therapeutic process (6+ months) with a  therapist who can walk beside you through life’s various phases and challenges

  • You have a sincere desire to be brave, vulnerable, and look at the hard things, knowing this is where the change happens.

  • You’re introspective, the type of person who will reflect between sessions and bring insights, dreams, or questions back into the space

  • You’re drawn to explore the depths of grief, trauma, death and dying, the shadow, and other ‘taboo’ subjects

  • You may have an interest or curiosity in astrology, tarot, plant medicine, or other mystical or nature-based practices

We should not work together if:

  • You’re not able to commit to weekly therapy sessions for at least the next 6 months

  • You’re looking for a therapist who offers quick fixes or concrete solutions instead of deeper reflection

  • You often respond to conflict with explosive anger or defensiveness and aren’t open to exploring those reactions in therapy

  • Your substance misuse or abuse is currently a central issue in your life and needs more focused support

  • You tend to use spirituality, mysticism, or metaphysical practices to avoid emotional work or bypass your pain

You don’t have to keep navigating this on your own.
If you’re ready for deeper support and a space where you don’t have to hold it all together—I invite you to reach out.
Let’s start with a free consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
